Amnesia: The Dark Descent App Reviews

I have had this game for 2 days and it is awesome but for some reason i got on and when i loaded my last game it popped up all black and it sounded like someone was munching bones in the background. Please fix soon!!!!!

This game runs extremely well on my mid 12 MBP at the highest settings. I have experienced no crashes or any lag at all. There are hours of gameplay in this title... many terrifying hours. I cant stand walking down a dark hallway anymore. Many times this game leaves me shaking, if you enjoy a good scare and a challenging game this is a safe bet, if you can get it on sale I would deffinately go for it.

My computer meets all the requirements. It will no install, icon just sits in the launchpad with a status bat that does not move. Please help. I dont want to waste this money.

it didnt freeze every 5 minutes. I have done all of the checks to make sure all programs are up to date, but it continues to freeze. A LOT. If it is not freezing up then there are huge black squares all over the game… a huge dissapointment. I had such high hopes. And at $20…. yikes.

why have you not put amnesia a mchine for pigs on the appstore yet? As a million dollar corporation I suggest you put a famous game that is compatible on the mac on the App Store

So i just downloaded this i am running new maverics have nvidia gc and and intel processor. when i click “launch” on the graphics menu the game immediately crashes please fix! if it is not fixed this will be my last purchase with apple.

this is an amazing game, but i can no longer play it. If the developers patch this i will gladly write a 5 star review. I am hoping this gets resloved soon, i don’t like spending $20 on games i can’t play Problem: when launched, the game goes to its set up menu for you to adjust the settings, then i start the game and it goes to a black screen. the only way to close the game is to force quit it. I have played the game so i know that it is compatible with my computer, regardless of the quality settings.

If it says anything like "ERROR: could not load main configuration file" just go to your finder, library, application support, frictional games, amnesia, then copy whatever the error file name is and paste it to your desk top. after that delete the main file, then delete the copy. restart the amnesia application and it will replace the file you deleted with a new one. The freezing problem every now and then is unfixable. All you have to do is hold down the power button and retry. happens to me all the time. Hope this helps. Great game.

I have a new macbook pro 2013 with intel graphics 4000 and even though the program calls for that it does not run. I am very dissappointed and would like a refund.

i bought it and it wont install to my computer!!! idk what to do!

I was really interested in playing this game, but I was hesitant in buying it when I viewed the required system requirements. It says in the game description that it needed either an ATI/AMD or NVIDIA graphics card. My MacBook Pro (Late 2013) with Intel Iris Graphics did not seem to satisfy the requirements. So I gave it a shot anyways, and it ran smoothly! So if you’re held back into getting this game because of the system requirements, know that Intel Iris WILL work.

I love Amnesia, the Dark Descent…the atmosphere is excellent, the graphics are good, and its just a fun game all around. I highly recommend buying it. With a catch. If you play the game, love it, and come up with ideas of your own you want to make, theres a fantastic level editor you can download to use. Except for the App Store version. If you think youll want to make your own game, dont buy it from the App Store, buy it from Frictional Games directly. The level editor has not been released for the App Store version and theres no planned release date. Youve been warned. With that in mind, Id like to reiterate the game is top-notch. A year after I first played the game, I replayed it, and it was still scary. Frictional Games outdid themselves with this release, and its become the new highest standard of horror since then.

amnesia the dark descent is a really really good game but i came home one day to play it and it automatically just quit which is really a shame because i was almost finished with the game. i have sent a report to apple nothing has happend yet. though i still thing the game is worth buying you have a 50 50 chance of it quiting i would take the chance for $20.

Have a late 2011 MacBook Pro….Game used to run flawlessly, but now, it quits unexpectantly every single time…The only thing that has changed is I have upgraded my OS to the current Apple edition…that is all. Can someone please confirm if this is happening to them as well?

Who says you can’t play games on a Mac? This game is amazing, I played it all the way through on my MacBook Pro, and upon completion, I must say this game was amazing! The game ran with no flaws at all, great graphics, smooth gameplay, it was flawless. I love it!

this is a good game but when i try to open the game it says: "Could not load main config file: config/ default_main_settings.cfg" Can someone plz help me?

This Game is a definate 10/10. If you havent played it yet you really should!!
